Hear Their Voices

    Madam Ayisha, Farmer, Ghana
I feel I am becoming more productive and economically empowered, and my voice is heard in the household and community more than before.
    MADAM AYISHA, FARMER, GHANA
My involvement with Canadian Feed the Children started back in the 1990’s, first as a corporate partner, then as a Board member and ultimately as Board Chair. And now as a corporate partner once again, we are proud to stand alongside Kinvia on this shared path forward and remain confident in the positive impact we will continue to make together in the lives of children, youth, and communities around the world.

    Buzeye, Farmer, Ethiopia
Before I got engaged in this program, I was a housewife, staying at home with many financial problems. But now, I spend most of my time outside home engaging in income generating activities and it is one of my most important things in my life. I also send my children to school by providing what they need. This vegetable retailing program has changed my life and that of my children by increasing our family income; our relationship has improved, and the children are properly fed.

We are pleased to see CFTC’s brand identity evolving in such a mindful way. It decisively and boldly demonstrates that your approach to supporting communities is collaborative, relational, and respectful. It is appealing both visually and, in its meaning, and indicates a real commitment to listening and learning from those you support. Congratulations to everyone at Kinvia on this step forward!

    Medina, Cattle Trader, Ethiopia
My life is now taking a different direction, and I’m sure I will have a better future with this project.

    Mom with her children
Last year, I achieved large yields for my farming activities. We were able to buy more land to expand, and now I feed my children nutritious meals.
Berochan, farmer & VSLA member, Uganda
    Kedija, seamstress, Ethiopia
Having my own income gives me a lot of freedom. My goal is to sufficiently address the needs of my children’s education. In the future I want to expand my business, creating job opportunities for others.
    KEDIJA, SEAMSTRESS, ETHIOPIA
    Rosa, Pastry Trainee, Bolivia
I learned pastry and new ways of preparing salads. [The] training has improved the preparation of food, improved our entrepreneurship, and also improved our family’s nutrition.

      We listened & we evolved.

Through deep reflection, open conversations, and a commitment to our mission, we’ve listened to the voices of our communities and partners—the very people at the center of everything we do. Their message was clear: Our name should reflect progress, inclusivity, and the many ways we work together.

We listened and we evolved, and we are thrilled to embark on our path forward as Kinvia, previously known as Canadian Feed The Children.

Kinship & community have always been the way forward.

While our name has changed, our commitment to walking alongside communities is unwavering. In fact, this evolution helps us better express how we work — walking alongside communities in Bolivia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda, and Indigenous communities in Canada as they forge their own paths forward.

Where paths cross & change begins.

Progress isn't single line. It's a network of paths forged by communities leading their own change. This is what community-led development looks like.
In Ghana, local leaders are transforming traditional farming practices into climate-resilient food systems.
Ethiopian farmers and Indigenous communities in Canada are exchanging knowledge through Kinvia’s partnership network, creating stronger food systems for all.
