Happy New Year – A Message from the President & CEO

All photos honour partnerships in Bolivia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda, and Indigenous communities in Canada.

Happy New Year. As we step into 2026, let's take a moment to reflect on all we accomplished together last year.

You were a part of a story of resilience. When global support pulled back, individuals like you stepped forward. Your generosity made sure vital community-led programs didn’t disappear. Programs that families rely on for nourishment, education, opportunity, and hope.

At Kinvia, our path forward is defined by community and led by community. This is how lasting, sustainable change is created — and why your partnership is so essential to this mission. Our work is far from over.

Around the world, your support made powerful progress possible:

  • In Neyaashiinigmiing (Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation) a year-round greenhouse now grows healthy food and serves as a living classroom for youth.
  • In Bolivia, women turned shared garden harvests into thriving, community-led food and small business initiatives.
  • In Ethiopia, women discussed household and gender-based issues, built confidence, and created their own solutions through community REFLECT Circles.
  • In Ghana, women are improving family nutrition by transforming traditional foods through hands-on food demonstrations.
  • In Uganda, farming families increased harvests, incomes, and food security through climate-smart training and Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) groups.

These are just a handful of moments that come to my mind. Moments that celebrate the work of communities who are building local, self-reliant, sustainable systems to provide food for today and for generations to come. And these moments are made possible because of you.

You’re more than a donor. You’re a partner in lasting change. Thank you for walking on this journey forward.

As we look ahead to 2026, this is only the beginning. Let’s create a more just and equitable world where children, youth, and communities can thrive and realize their full potential.

With gratitude and hope,

Jacquelyn Wright
